The 645DF camera is the only 645 medium format camera which supports both focal plane and leaf shutters, expanding photographers' innovative possibilities by leveraging the two shutter technologies seamlessly for world class photography, whether this involves ultra-fast flash sync speeds or extremely flexible exposure times.

The new camera introduces many performance improvements over its predecessor. Capture responsiveness and autofocus speed is highly improved giving photographers up to 5 times faster performance in a typical fashion set up. The 645DF also offers a breakthrough workflow improvement -- custom-shooting modes. For the first time in a medium-format camera, photographers can "dial up" a pre-defined mode, where the camera is instantly set up for a given shooting scenario, e.g. product, portrait or landscape photography.

Other workflow enhancements include new tactile buttons, a fully sealed eye-cup eliminating ambient light, improved viewfinder masks, and customizable audio feedback e.g. on focus lock. Several custom functions have been enhanced, without compromising simple navigation.

The Phase One 645DF Camera System easily matches integrated camera system while still being completely modular. It is highly responsive and features almost instant captures. It includes fast autofocus mode, particularly useful for instant captures at higher apertures. The camera will continue the same capture rate until the storage media (CF card or hard drive) is full or unable to keep up.

Shutter speed from 1/4000s to 60 minutes, B and X modes can match the extreme long exposure capability of the P+ digital backs or stop action with fast shutter speed or flash.
The mirror and viewfinder of the Phase One 645DF camera are almost three times larger than those of 35mm cameras, providing much greater control of focus and composition.
While hosting a complete list of features and custom functions, the Phase One 645DF camera is extremely easy to use. All settings important to the exposure are easily controlled by manual dials and soft buttons.

Does the new 645DF body offers faster flash sync speeds? Will it use lenses with leaf shutters?
Phase One has partnered with Schneider to provide a line of extremely high quality leaf shutter lenses. The first three lenses in this new lens line are 55mm f2.8, 80mm f2.8, and 110mm f2.8. Over time this lens line will be expanded.

Is the Phase One DF Camera an Open Platform?
Absolutely! Phase One believes that creativity is nurtured by freedom. The Phase One 645 is an open platform system maximizing choice. Besides the Phase One / Schneider Leaf Shutter Lenses all Phase One and Mamiya 645 Digital, AFD, and MF lenses are supported. Additional choices include Hasselblad V-series lenses with more multi-mount options being developed for future release. In the spirit of openness the Phase One 645 Camera is compatible with any digital back using the Mamiya 645 AF body mount. No restrictions!

Phase One Digital Lenses

The Phase One Digital lenses are designed for maximum image quality and freedom of choice – using digital back or film, using full frame 645 sensor like Phase One P65+ or less than full frame digital sensors.

The Phase One 645DF camera is the only 645 medium format camera which supports both focal plane and leaf shutters, expanding photographers' innovative possibilities by leveraging the two shutter technologies seamlessly for world class photography, whether this involves ultra-fast flash sync speeds or extremely flexible exposure times.

When used with the Phase One P+ digital backs, the image quality is further enhanced through advanced digital optimization in Capture One – the professional raw processing software supplied from Phase One.

Not only have all lenses been measured and profiled for automated enhancement in Capture One, also data regarding the specific position of the lens elements are captured and used for image optimization. This leads to absolute leading image quality with unique replication of the true colors, details and lightning of the captured moment.

Phase One Digital lenses uses eco‐glass, which contains no lead or arsenic, securing both better image quality and a nature‐friendly policy.

All Phase One lenses are supplied with a 3 year warranty. All Schneider lenses come with a 1 year warranty

Phase One AF 28mm f4.5 Aspherical D lens

This full‐frame ultra wide angle lens is the world's first medium format 28mm lens that can be used for film and digital backs. The use of aspheric lens elements produces outstanding optical performance.
The 28mm f4.5 D is a full‐frame, ultrawide lens that utilizes the latest aspheric lens technology to produce high resolution and large image circle coverage for film and digital backs. Since wide angle lenses can cause color shift problems with digital backs (due to the extreme angle at which light rays hit the sensor), the 28mm f4.5 D has been designed to direct light rays so that they are parallel when they hit the sensor – producing maximum sharpness, color accuracy and contrast.
Unlike conventionally designed digital lenses, the 28mm f4.5 Sekor D Aspherical was designed with the requirement that it works with digital and film systems. It is the world's first 28mm medium format lens with this capability. The Phase One AF 28mm f4.5 D is ideal for a wide range of applications, including commercial, architectural and outdoor photography.

Schneider Kreuznach LS AF 55mm f2.8 lens (leaf shutter)

Flash sync up to 1/1600th of a second. Minimal distortion wide angle design, provides a normal look, great for editorial portraits and on location lifestyle photography. Features:

Phase One AF 45mm f2.8 D lens

With an angle of view of 74 degrees, this lens is equivalent to a 29mm lens in 35mm format. Its wide angle of view and deep field make the lens appropriate for any situation, from snapshots to scenics. Low‐dispersion glass minimizes chromatic aberration.

A floating mechanism lends uniformity to image resolution, from center to periphery. This lens is also suitable to architectural photography and other subjects dominated by straight lines, and it offers sharp and crisp rendering.

Phase One AF 80mm f2.8 D lens

The 80mm f2.8 D lens which comes standard with the Phase One 645 camera system is equipped with an auto/manual focus ring that allows fast one‐touch selection of auto or manual focus mode. The lens barrel is precision manufactured of turned aluminum treated with black alumite.

The lens is tack sharp edge to edge and provides you every detail in the captured scene in much more details than the eye will ever catch. Try it with the Phase One 80 megapixels full frame IQ180 digital back and you'll be convinced.

The rubberized focusing ring makes manual focusing fast and easy and the16 bit CPU in the lens allows easy firmware upgrading, finer optimization of lens characteristics in Capture One and faster, more reliable communication between the lens, camera body and digital back.

Phase One AF 75-150mm Zoom f4.5 D lens

This zoom range is ideal for use in a diverse range of photographic scenes, from portraits to landscapes to candids. This versatility makes it indispensable in portrait studios since it lets you "crop" in the camera without changing camera position.

The Mamiya Sekor Zoom AF 75‐150mm f4.5 D Lens is a medium telephoto zoom lens, with an angle of view of 50 to 26 degrees. The equivalent focal length for a 35mm format is 47 - 93mm.

Its minimum focusing distance is just 100cm, which allows use in a diverse range of photographic scenes, from portraits to landscapes to candids. This versatility makes it indispensable in portrait studios since it lets you "crop" in the camera without changing camera position.

Schneider Kreuznach LS AF 80mm f2.8 lens (leaf shutter)

Phase One AF 150mm f2.8 D lens

The Phase One AF 150mm F2.8 IF D is an auto focus medium‐telephoto lens with an angle of view of 26 degrees, equivalent to a 93mm telephoto lens in the 35mm format. By using low‐dispersion glass, most chromatic aberration is corrected, and high contrast images can be obtained from infinity to the closest distance. The minimum focusing distance is 1m, which is 0.5m shorter than the existing AF 150mm F3.5 Lens. The use of inner focusing system and its well balanced weight make this lens perfect for hand‐held photography. The focusing ring allows for front to back switching between auto and manual focus. With shallow depth of field of a faster lens, this lens works well especially in portrait photography.

Phase One MF 120mm f4 Macro D lens

Pinpoint sharpness with manual focus is confirmed from infinity to 1:1 magnification, without additional adapters, by a green diode in the finder. This lens provides a flattering perspective suitable for tight portraits, and permits good working distances in or out of the studio. It can be used for anything from extreme detailed close‐ups to full‐length portraits. The lens is manually focused (MF) and utilizes the digital focus confirmation in the Phase One 645 AF body plus auto‐diaphragm operation.

Anomalous dispersion optical glass is employed to reduce chromatic aberrations, which results in APO‐quality lens performance when focused from infinity to 1:2 magnification, and significantly reduces chromatic aberration from 1:2 to 1:1 magnification. The optical engineering and multi‐coatings of this lens achieve excellent color balance, high contrast and high resolution over the entire focusing range, which is an extraordinary accomplishment for a Macro lens. The barrel design reduces flare significantly.

Schneider-Kreuznach PC-TS Apo-Digitar 5.6/120 HM Aspheric lens for the Mamiya/Phase One System

The digital medium format is used in cases where even a full-frame DSLR reaches its limits. The Mamiya/ Phase One System in particular has established itself in demanding studio and on-location photography.

With the PC-TS Apo-Digitar 5.6/120 HM Aspheric, Schneider-Kreuznach is closing an important gap. The apochromatically corrected lens combines exceptional reproduction quality with a large image circle and excellent adjustability which is restricted only by the camera's bayonet mount.

There are therefore no limits to the photographers' creativity. They use the mobility of the digital medium format and add adjustment possibilities of the view camera. But above all: they do it in Schneider-Kreuznach perfection.

This 120mm Tilt Shilft lens can be used with both the Phase One 645 Camera and Mamiya 645 AFD.

Phase One V-Grip for 645DF

The Phase One V-Grip is not only the first vertical grip with a built-in wireless flash trigger; it is also the first and only wireless flash sync solution for a medium format camera system that is capable of delivering sync speeds as fast as 1/1600s. The new V-Grip also offers owners of Phase One and Mamiya 645DF cameras more shooting styles, and delivers longer camera battery life through power integration and easy firmware upgrades.

Built-in flash technology from Profoto lets photographers trigger a flash simply and wirelessly from the V-grip Air. The wireless flash triggering system is an out-of-the-box solution that works with all current and most modern Profoto flash systems. It is also possible to leverage the wireless flash triggering with other flash brands by using an optional receiver unit from Profoto.

An integrated L-bracket is available for portrait-mode mounting on a stand. The unit runs on the same type of battery used in Phase One and Mamiya digital backs with a backup option to use standard AA type batteries.

The L-Bracket is precission machined and optimized in design for the Phase One 645 camera. It has laser-engraved marks for the lens axis located on the rear of the plate. The L-Bracket comes with captive-type mounting screws that feature a special, high strength head-to-shank cross section. This plate mounts with a single 3/8"-16 mounting screw.

Mamiya NC401 Auto Bellows

This high-precision macro accessory enables continuous adjustment of magnification ratio for precision manual focusing. A data cable transmits diaphragm information to the lens mount, enabling use of aperture priority AE mode or exposure confirmation in manual mode.
The AF 80mm lens reverse ring allows reproduction at magnifications greater than 1:1 with minimal aberration over a range of 0.75 to 2.20 times with the AF 80mm f/2.8 lens.
The camera mount can be rotated 90 degrees (for simple selection of vertical/horizontal composition.) The upper and lower rails can be used in combination at a right angle, enabling the auto bellows to shift horizontally and enable reproduction of vertical images at the same magnification ratio.
