Fastest pack on the market

The Profoto Pro-B3 1200 AirS is the fastest 1200Ws pack on the market, with a recycling time between 0.06 to 1.8 s, giving up to 16 flashes/sec. Plus, the very short flash durations of the Pro-B3 make it easy to freeze movement. The Pro-B3 AirS can be used while recharging.

Smallest and lightest

Pro-B3 1200 AirS is one of the smallest and lightest 1200Ws battery generators on the market and measures only (w) 17 x (d) 24 x (h) 28 cm (6.7x9.4x11 in) incl. handle. The weight of the complete unit with battery is only 8.8 kg. The generator offers an outstanding reliability and is easy to use.

Licenced to travel

The battery is licensed to travel and has been tested and certified according to UN manual of Test & Criteria, Part III, Sub-section 38.3. Making the battery flight approved all over the world.

LiFe Batteries

Profoto uses the most advanced and reliable rechargeable batteries: Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4), Short - LiFe batteries. These batteries include sophisticated electronics: A special constructed BMS board (Battery Monitoring System) controls and adjusts their output to assure an optimal performance. LiFe cells offer a very high capacity, are lightweight, withstand high loads and are very safe and reliable. On top, they have 4 times longer life-time than lead acid batteries and can be used in a wider temperature range. The integrated electronics also protect the LiFe battery against deep-discharge and overheating. Because of their special construction it is possible to use the same chargers for LiFe and Pb (lead acid) batteries. This simplifies the combined use of new and old battery generators and allows owners of previous Profoto battery generators to update their packs with the new LiFe batteries.

AirS

The Pro-B3 1200 AirS, has been implemented with the reliable radio slave system: Profoto Air Sync. The generator can be triggered from a distance up to 300 m. Ultra-short delay makes it possible to use the fastest sync times. Air Sync uses the same frequency all over the world, covering 8 separate channels. The Profoto Air Sync provides a simple solution for you, to trigger it with your camera. Profoto Air Sync can also be used as a receiver and sync generators without built in Profoto Air.

Universal Power Adapter

The Profoto Universal Power Adapter (UPA) is a quick charger that can be used while shooting and does increase the operation time of the Pro-B3 seriously. The charging time of an empty LiFe battery with the UPA is just 2.5 h. On top the UPA operates as 12V/24V car charger (adapter cable included).

Your choice of heads

ProHead

In the studio, the standard heavy-duty tool is the Profoto ProHead with 250W or 500 W halogen lamp, built for delivering flashes up to 4800 Ws, over and over again, hour after hour. The ProHead includes: the New Zoom Reflector, UV-safe flash tubes, 250W or 500 W halogen lamp, removable frosted glass cover, protective transportation cap, stand adapter and a 4m lamp cable.

ProRing 2

For fashion or other occasions when you want a direct and very distinct light, there is the Profoto ProRing 2. A ring flash, with a fan-cooled head, that is capable of as many 2400Ws flashes per minute as the generator can produce, and also including a powerful 200W modeling light. The ProRing 2 includes: circular quartz flash tube, 10x20 W halogen modelling lamps, camera adapter, stand adapter and a 4m special lamp cable.

Pro-B Head

For the Pro-B2 and the Pro-7b, there is the handy Profoto Pro-B Head that gives you 1200 Ws flashes and a 100W modelling light while still weighing only 1.8kg. For extra intensive use with Pro-B2, use the fan-cooled ProHead instead. The Pro-B includes: Disc Reflector, flash tube, 100 W halogen lamp, removable frosted glass cover, protective transportation cap, stand adapter, and a 4m lamp cable.


Profoto MainsDock for Pro-7b, B2 & B3

The Profoto Pro-B MainsDock unit is used to power battery flash generators from AC mains power instead of the battery. Since the operation of the generator is not limited by the battery capacity, long time usage and continuous modeling light are made possible with the Pro-B MainsDock.

The MainsDock makes it possible to connect Profoto's popular Pro-7b 1200, Pro-B2 1200 and Pro-B3 1200 AirS battery packs to the mains. The MainsDock replaces the actual battery and allows continuous operation of the generator. It even supports a 250 W continuous model light, when used with a Pro-B2 or Pro-B3 generator.

The MainsDock automatically adjusts its voltage to any mains in the world, and the unit is certified for international travel. It also boosts an active cooling device, which guarantees that both the MainsDock and the generator stay cool during even the fastest, most dynamic shoots.

The MainsDock has a rugged and solid design, which makes it perfect for rental use as well as demanding studio work. The generator is securely fixed by a magnetic pedal, but it is very easy to assemble and disassemble.

Previously photographers had to choose. When buying, they had to choose between the mobility of a battery pack and the endurance of a studio generator. When renting, they had to choose between outdoors and indoors equipment. Now they can have it both ways.

NB: All Pro-B2 generators and Pro-B3 generators below serial number 1104180060 need an EOP-update to work properly with the MainsDock, otherwise they may overheat.

Universal Power Adaptor

With the snap-on universal power adapter, the Pro-B2 or the Pro-7b may almost be used as a regular studio generator. At the same time, the generator is quickly recharged, loading an empty battery in just 2.5 hours. The adapter accepts a wide range of input voltages: 12–24 V or 90–240 V. Mains and board power (cigarette lighter) cables included. The UPA is also a high performance battery charger which will recharge an empty battery to full in approximately two hours. The built in battery reconditioner guaranties optimal battery lifetime. On a 12V power source, the UPA has a built-in battery protectionfunction preventing battery damage caused by low energy levels. (Not valid in 24V systems).

When used as a power supply unit, the UPA will support the Pro-7b generator with sufficient power for normal studio usage. With the support of a fully charged battery the UPA, with intermittent use, will provide 300 full power flashes for a 30 minutes period. (or 450 full power flashes for 2 hours) The UPA allows 800 full power flashes during an 8 hour working day without consuming the battery.

Profoto AcuteB2 600 AirS

Small Size, Great Light

The Profoto AcuteB2 600 is the new version of the world's most reliable portable flash. Famous quality and reliability of Profoto in a small generator. Lighter, faster recycling times, more flashes per charge, superior Radio Air Sync and longer battery life span.

AcuteB2 600 AirS allows photographers superior creative control on-the-go. The famed AcuteB now comes with a Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate battery (LiFe), Air Sync and improved internal electronics.

This is Profoto's smallest generator, measuring only (w) 19 x (d) 13.5 x (h) 20 cm incl. handle. This compact size allows a full setup of camera, pack with fash-head and modifiers to easily fit into a back-pack. The weight of the complete unit with LiFe-battery is only 3.6 kg.

AcuteB Head

For our smallest battery pack, there is a special lamp head, the Profoto AcuteB Head. The Profoto AcuteB Head weighs in at a mere 1.45 kg (3.2 lb). It gives you up to 600 Ws of flash power and an innovative modeling light, using a high performance Halostar lamp that, at 65W, gives you the brightness of 90 W halogen.

The AcuteB Head includes: flash tube, 65W halogen lamp, protective transportation cap and a 3m lamp cable.

Profoto BatPac

The BatPac is a portable "power-in-a-bag" unit, the combination of a dedicated inverter and a high capacity battery. It gives you power for Profoto D1 monolights even when shooting far away from any mains socket. First of all it is specially designed for handling sophisticated high power units like Profoto's D1 flashes; but it can be used with previous Profoto ComPact units and Acute2 flash generators as well.

The BatPac has advanced safety functions and is very easy to use. It's innovative design delivers power with exceptional stability. It controls over voltage, over temperature, low power, low battery voltage etc., preventing damage to the BatPac and connected flash units. The Profoto BatPac complies with CE and IEC safety requirements.

BatPac gives up to 600W continuous power from 2 integrated separate mains outlets. The BatPac will power all Profoto D1 monolights – 250, 500, 1000Ws.

Number of flashes

The BatPac has all the other benefits of a well-engineered power inverter: It can provide power for charging your laptop, camera batteries and more. It can run constant light sources, wind machines, refrigerator boxes and many more electrical units that are frequently used while shooting on location. Please note that in Australia the BatPac ships with European power connectors and 2 x 5m cables with normal IEC-C13 female (kettle plug) connector.
